I’m trying to compile a list of the absolute best songs ever. Here are my all time favourites (no necessary order). Someday I’ll add my own notes about each song. This list will be constantly updated. So if you’re about to leave an angry comment asking why a song or artist is not on this list, keep in mind that song/artist may not be on the list yet! dude, you are completely, and obviously in love with meatloaf, they suck, take every one of their songs off there. You completely ignored some of the greatest songs ever. You left out stairway to heaven, hey jude, Hotel California, imagine, satisfaction, and tons of others. You didnt have any rolling stones, nirvana, ACDC, Aerosmith, Johny Cash, Led Zepellin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or bob dylan in there. The only jimi hendrix song thats on there, is freedom….what about purple haze and all along the watchtower, what are you retarded? Look at the rolling stone top 500 list, shit dude, you dont have hardly anything from that.
September 2nd, 2006 at 11:50 |
Some great suggestions, people. Keep ‘em coming!
(By the way, evan, no am I not retarded).
September 5th, 2006 at 2:22 |

September 26th, 2006 at 2:22 |
what about jerry reed’s “eastbound and down” (smokey and the bandit theme) or the dueling banjo’s from deliverance
September 27th, 2006 at 14:41 |
There are a few good ones you’ve mentioned but hey ! I bet all the folks who’ve been rude wouldn’t be able to compile a list that even their best friends would totally agree on ( unless they’re all on the same ward and on the same medication). That’s the nature of music and people; we all have different tastes. No-one should be chavvy enough to criticise your choices although adding their choices is good form as it is always possible you might have forgotten something.
I’m old ( >30) so I’ve heard & know SOOO many songs that even I would disagree with myself a day later if I came up with a Top 20 or even a top 1000!!
September 29th, 2006 at 0:26 |

jeeze someones got a big one up his butt. Dont yell at us for giving him ideas, considering thats what he asked us to do, so back off asshole.
So if I could give you just a few quickies, you need to add something else by Jimi Hendrix besides freedom, which i always thought to be a pretty bad song. Also you need nirvana in there.
October 8th, 2006 at 10:28 |
Nirvana? Ha! That’s one band you’ll probably never see on this list.
October 16th, 2006 at 13:43 |

You “Swiss guy” your list sucks, belive me – Eanie Meany, lol. Just look at http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/500songs
I still think that The best one is Stairway To Heaven, from Leds.
November 2nd, 2006 at 12:55 |
I’m not Swiss. Did you read all of it? That list is a fact. It’s not up for discussion. Those are the best songs ever. You can go take your Ike and Tina Turner at #33 of the best songs ever and run along.
I’ll probably be making a new list soon anyway. I’m kind of over those ones these days.
November 24th, 2006 at 15:41 |
WTF
How can you make a “best songs ever” list and not include a single Deep Purple song?
